Many people of all ages struggle with dental fear and general anxiety. At Infinite Dental Wellness, we do our best to provide the most nurturing and informative care possible, but being in the exam chair under bright lights surrounded by strange instruments can sometimes feel very vulnerable no matter how well your concerns are managed. If dental fear and anxiety have stopped you from correcting problems and maintaining your oral health, you may be an ideal candidate for sedation dentistry.
In order to tailor treatments to each patient’s medical and emotional needs, Infinite Dental Wellness offers three types of sedation dentistry:
- Conscious sedation, which leaves the patient awake but calm and relaxed.
- Mild sedation, producing a very relaxed light sleep state; the patient may have partial consciousness but experiences no distress.
- Deep sedation, a higher dose of sedatives and anesthesia causing the patient to fall into a deep sleep during the procedure.
Before your procedure, the doctors will sit down with you to determine the best course of action based on your dental needs, anxiety level, and overall health.
