Dr. Leon Kiraj, DDS
Dr. Liana Muradyan, DDS
As partners in both business and in life, Dr. Leon Kiraj and Dr. Liana Muradyan met while studying Stomatology at the Yerevan State Medical University in Yerevan, Armenia, and quickly realized that their respective passion for dentistry perfectly aligned. After completing their degrees in 2004, the two moved back to the United States, where each earned additional Stomatology Degrees at University of Southern California’s prestigious Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry.
Leon and Liana married shortly after graduation, and aspired to one day open their own practice that focused on green dentistry, total body wellness, minimally invasive dentistry utilizing the latest technology, and preventing medical conditions that can stem from oral misalignment. Their dreams were realized in 2010, when they opened Infinite Dental Wellness in the city of Glendale, California. With a state-of-the-art facility and the most advanced skills in modern dentistry at their disposal, Doctors Kiraj and Dr. Muradyan strive to serve the families in Glendale, La Crescenta, La Canada, and Montrose by maintaining an environmentally friendly and mercury-free office, as well as regularly contributing to school and charities in the community.

The need for regular hygiene appointments is vital to maintaining whole body health. A prophylaxis (cleaning) appointment should be done at least once every six months; however, a more accurate maintenance schedule can be recommend by your dental professional.
Plaque is a film of bacteria that your body creates on a daily basis, while tartar is the calcified, coagulated dead bacterial cell walls formed due to ineffective home care techniques, genetic disposition, and salivary minerals. It is plaque that causes inflammation and breakdown of the tissues, and mechanical removal of plaque via correct brushing and flossing techniques is imperative to preventing gingivitis and periodontitis. These techniques can be demonstrated by your hygienist or dentist.
Gingivitis, a reversible, non-destructive inflammation of the gums, can lead to varying degrees of periodontitis. A more serious condition, Periodontitis is the progressive – and unfortunately, irreversible – breakdown of your jaw bone, and if not properly treated, can lead to mobility of teeth, halitosis, and ultimately, to tooth loss. Once diagnosed with periodontitis, maintaining periodontal pockets and bone level by periodontal scaling appointments is necessary. Oral infections, gingivitis, and periodontitis are chronic diseases; fortunately most patients generally experience no discomfort or adverse symptoms until they are in advanced stages.
Correct and diligent oral home care, along with regular cleaning appointments, can prevent periodontal disease and help you maintain excellent oral health.
